| RiverRun Studio |
| RiverRun Studio sits in
a twelve acre private wooded site along the
River Vartry. It is a salmon river, and students
quietly painting have spotted otter and deer
as they paint. The woods are full of badgers,
foxes, rabbits and squirrel although they
are shy and not often seen in the day. Red
squirrel were last spotted there about a year
ago, the grey squirrel appears to be moving
in. The Bluebell weekends in May and June
are popular and we have cleared a track so
that we can drive part way into the woods.
Wood anemonies are plentiful and we also have
orchids growing wild. If the weather deteriorates
we can either retire to the Bel Air Hotel
to make use of their studio facilities, (I
mile away) or take temporary shelter in Susan's
home, RiverRun Studio were there are a wide
range of art videos available to view whilst
reviving oneself with a warm cup of tea or
coffee. (Paintings of Donovan playing by the
River). |
